Rick Vinnay

Rick has worked in the behavioral health field since 1996, spending most of his time in EAP management. In addition to his administrative duties at The Solutions Group, he provides consultation to supervisors, managers and Human Resources professionals, conducts organizational interventions, and leads workshops.

Rick’s expertise includes working with a very diverse client population in a wide variety of settings with a multitude of presenting issues. His practical and empathic approach to problem solving allows him to serve clients in virtually any situation. In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), Rick is a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), a qualified professional counselor in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EDMR) Trauma Therapy, a qualified Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) provider, and a member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association. These skills, qualifications and talents, combined with his experience working in national and multinational organizations, make him an invaluable resource for employees.

Rick earned his Masters in Social Work from University of Illinois Chicago Campus, where he attended the Jane Adams School of Social Work. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University (Southfield, Mich.).

DEB GALLANT, M.A., LPCC
EAP CLINICAL MANAGER

Deb GallantDeb is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with nearly 30 years of experience as a mental health practitioner working in private practice, non-profit, government, and commercial settings. Her areas of counseling expertise include couples counseling, divorce adjustment, blended families, adoptive families, domestic violence, parent/child relations and parenting education. Deb's approach to marital and family living emphasizes patience, self-awareness and openness to the differences and vulnerabilities of others. A New Mexico native, Deb earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education from University of New Mexico. She earned her master’s degree in counseling services from Webster University.

DEIRDRE ANDERSON, M.S., LCSW, QSAP
EAP CLINICAL COUNSELOR

Deirdre AndersonDeirdre is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (QSAP) who specializes in short-term, solution-focused counseling that incorporates mindfulness, building life skills, and cognitive behavioral techniques. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient psychiatry, leading stress management courses at a rehabilitation hospital, outreach to homeless and mentally ill veterans, managed care, and several employee assistance programs. Prior to joining The Solutions Group, she coordinated the Dialectic Behavioral Therapy Program at University of New Mexico Psychiatric Center. Deirdre earned her master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of California Berkeley.

JUNIPER DECKER, M.A., LPCC
EAP CLINICAL COUNSELOR

Juniper DeckerJuniper is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC), a nationally certified counselor, and a nationally and locally credentialed massage therapist. Juniper specializes in families, blended families, communication, personal growth and self-management, wellness and self-care, parenting and parenting special needs children, gifted adults and children, LGBTQ, gender-related concerns, work /life balance and women's issues. She has also served as a team leader and team player for crisis intervention and critical incident stress management. Juniper strives to meet the unique needs of the client and believes in our natural capacity for resilience and ongoing change. She earned both her bachelor's degree in family studies and her master's degree in clinical mental health and school counseling from the University of New Mexico. Juniper also attended the Scherer Institute of Natural Healing in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

MICHELE HEYMAN, M.A., LPCC
EAP CLINICAL COUNSELOR

Michele HeymanMichele is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) with more than 15 years of experience as an EAP clinician and a mental health practitioner. Prior to joining The Solutions Group, she served New Mexicans in a private practice setting as an independent therapist. Michele utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy techniques as well as short-term, solution-focused counseling, while taking into consideration the individual needs and goals of each client. Her clinical areas of expertise include individuals, families and relationships, parenting skills, self-advocacy and work/life balance. Michele earned her bachelor’s degree in human services from the University of New Mexico and her master’s degree in counseling services from Webster University.

DONNA HURULA, M.ED., LPCC
EAP CLINICAL COUNSELOR

Donna HurulaDonna is an independently licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) with 30 years of experience. For more than a decade, she has provided counseling, coaching, small group training, organizational assessments and interventions, Critical Incident Stress Debriefings and mediation.  Donna is a generalist with a humanistic and holistic approach, using brief and solution-focused counseling methods to address client issues. Her previous work experience includes ten years in psychiatric hospitals, providing inpatient services to adult, adolescent, geriatric and substance abuse populations. Donna has also worked in a domestic violence agency with abused women, and with rural/hard-to-serve populations at various non-profit community agencies. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Slippery Rock State College in Pennsylvania and her master's degree of education in counseling from University of Missouri.

MARJIE MONTANO, M.ED., LPCC
EAP CLINICAL COUNSELOR

Marjie MontanoA native New Mexican, Marjie has worked in the behavioral health field for more than 20 years. Marjie is an independently licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC), is trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), and is a Certified Health Care Quality Professional (CPHQ) with more than 10 years of experience in Behavioral Health Quality Management. She maintains a private practice and currently provides onsite EAP services through The Solutions Group at Presbyterian Rev. Hugh Cooper Administrative Center. Marjie specializes in counseling individuals, couples and families, with a focus on trauma, depression, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, PTSD, and bullying in the workplace. She is also trained in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness/Meditation, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Marjie earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology and her masters of education in counseling from Brown University.

CHARLOTTE BEATY, M.A., LPCC
EAP CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER

Charlotte BeatyCharlotte is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with nearly 30 years of experience as a mental health practitioner. Her background includes work in all aspects of psychiatric care including inpatient, outpatient (community mental health and private practice), managed care, crisis intervention, and facility management. Charlotte has expertise in counseling individuals, adolescents and families and employs solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as stress and anger management interventions. With more than 15 years of management experience, she also provides counseling to address workplace issues, coaching and organizational interventions. Charlotte earned her master’s degree in counseling from the University of South Florida.

MARI LYFORD, MSW, LCSW, RY-T, QSAP
EAP clinical counselor

Mari LyfordMari is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (QSAP), and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). As a QSAP, she conducts employee drug and alcohol assessments per Department of Transportation regulations and employer drug and alcohol policies. She is also trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), the Reslience Toolkit, and Brainspotting. In addition to serving as an EAP Clinical Counselor for The Solutions Group, she is currently in private practice. Prior to joining The Solutions Group, Mari worked as an exercise specialist in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of New Mexico and her master's degree in clinical social work from New Mexico Highlands University.
